Angel Bay

Low clouds settle over the sea.
Angel Bay on a Sunday afternoon.
Mist blanketing the horizon,
Somewhere in the distance the moon.

The children shriek whilst playing –
Their voices beautiful echoes.
Playing dragons and fairies in the mountains
And hide and seek in the hollows.

I’m alone but have company in spirit:
Nature, sea, sky and land.
Below, the seals sing their chorus
Whilst lying beached on the sand.

Above, birds glide like drones
And it leaves me wanting so much more…
Down below the cliffs a wave breaks,
Crashing onto the shore.

I sit on a rock feeling awestruck
With a bird’s eye view of the bay.
Feeling nothing but gratitude and peace,
I‘m thankful for a beautiful day.
